Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-05

These terms govern your use of Lucien. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country. If you use Lucien on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you can bind that organization, and “you” includes it.

The service

Lucien uses an AI agent to place outbound phone calls to businesses on your behalf — for example to ask about availability, prices, or to make a reservation — and returns recordings, transcripts, and a summary. The agent speaks naturally on your behalf; if asked directly whether it is an AI, it says so, and where the law of the called jurisdiction requires it, a recording notice is played at the start of the call.

Your account

Keep your sign-in credentials confidential — you are responsible for activity under your account. If your account belongs to an organization, its owners and admins can manage members, and calls placed by any member draw on the organization’s credit. Keep your saved contact details accurate: the agent may give them to a business when a booking or callback needs them.

Your responsibilities & acceptable use

You must use the service lawfully. You are solely responsible for the instructions you give and for ensuring calls you request comply with all applicable laws — including telemarketing, robocall, do-not-call, and call recording/consent rules in the relevant jurisdictions. You may not use the service for spam, harassment, fraud, impersonation of a real person other than yourself, automated bulk calling outside the features we provide, calls to emergency services, or any unlawful or deceptive purpose. We block certain high-risk destinations (such as premium-rate numbers) and apply anti-fraud limits, especially on new accounts.

Credits & billing

The service runs on prepaid credit. Calls draw from your balance at the rates shown before you call; rates may change prospectively. Top-ups are processed by Stripe, and invoices are available for your payments. Except where required by law, credit is non-refundable and expires two years after your most recent top-up. Any statutory right of withdrawal or refund you have as a consumer is unaffected. We may reverse credit for refunds or chargebacks.

API & programmatic access

If you use our API, MCP endpoint, or webhooks, these terms apply to that use too. Keep your API keys secret — requests authenticated with your key are yours. We may apply rate limits and may evolve or retire API features with reasonable notice where practical.

Your content & results

You keep all rights to the instructions and information you give us. You grant us the license needed to operate the service — to place your calls, store your recordings and transcripts, and show you the results. We use your content to provide and secure the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

AI limitations

The agent is automated and may misunderstand, mishear, or be unable to complete a task. We do not guarantee any particular call outcome, that a business will answer, or the accuracy of collected information. Verify anything important — a reservation, a price, an opening time — before relying on it.

Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. You are responsible for third-party claims that arise from instructions you give in breach of these terms.

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a risk to the service or others. You may stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time; data handling on deletion is described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes, governing law & contact

We may update these terms and will revise the date above; material changes will be communicated in the app or by email. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms are governed by the laws of France, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence, including any right to use local consumer mediation.
